lyrics
Loose off the highway
And the first to bleed
When it comes down
We go all the way
All of this connected
To the fiends in dreams
Searching for the center
To destroy the way
Searching through the void
With your sickened dreams
Avenge with the jackal
To go all the way…
Brutalist highway
When we hit the crease
In the storm of disorder
Never run away
Fortunes on the mountains
That wreak of screams
When the night has spoken
You just fade away
Queen of submission
The charring of the vision
Avenge the dreams
And clear the way
Oh, I want to see you
Oh, I want to feel you
Oh, I want to peel you
Oh, I want to be you.
Loose off the highway
And the first to bleed
On the brink of disorder
To destroy your way
All of this connected
To the fiends in dreams
Searching for the center
To destroy the way
Searching through the void
With your sickened dreams
Avenge with the jackal
To go all the way…
Oh, I want to see you
Oh, I want to feel you
Oh, I want to peel you
Oh, I want to be you.
Breeding,
Fiending,
Heathens.
I know this came across my feed in the past, but for whatever reason it only clicked just now. I think maybe it seemed too straightforward rock at the time, but hey, sometimes that’s just what the doctor ordered.
I was trying to figure out what did it for me this time, and here’s what I came up with- it’s like a System Of A Down gone straight rock. None of the antics and politics that drag SOAD down.
Killer rhythms, killer vocals, killer production, high energy. Awesome. Lute FP
OMG, late to the party but this is some of the best occult infused doom stoner tackle I've ever heard. Reference points include Sabbath (obvs), especially with the Ozzy-esque vocals but there's also the melodiousness of early Heep mixing with a more contemporary occult rock sound. It starts in the 70's and makes it to the present day. The riffs are huge but it's their way with a hook that elevates this from your average doom/stoner fare. Very wonderful indeed! egg-magoo
